BELIEFS

I believe schools should ensure ALL students have the knowledge and skills to succeed as contributing members of a global world.

What Paul Believes Should Be Standard For Students

  • Believes retaining and hiring the best teachers are critical to helping maximize student learning and reaching their unique potential.

  • Believes a well-reasoned, inclusive approach to problem solving will empower students, teachers and community members to work together for the benefit of all.

  • Believes a fulfilled student is one who finds a purpose through academics and/or one of the school district’s many extracurricular offerings.

  • Believes respectful, transparent discussion prior to board decisions will promote better understanding of critical issues.

  • Believes in a politically neutral school environment for students and staff.

  • Believes in consequences for violation of school policies in order to maintain an optimal learning environment.

  • Believes in parental and community input on issues affecting their students.

  • Believes in a Social Studies History curriculum that can include other true historic voices but does not revise or dismantle the history that exists in our nation’s quest for freedom and upholds the Constitution.

  • Believes in extracurricular activities that allow our students to excel in non-academic skills that boost their self-esteem, character, athletics, and creativity.

  • Believes in student's rights to freedom of speech and religion and respect when discussing controversial topics.
